You’ve waited with crackers and ginger ale during bouts of morning sickness, made late-night runs to the grocery to pick up her latest craving, and dutifully attended every ultrasound. But most guys want to do more for their pregnant partners. Not sure what? Here are a few ideas to get you started: 1. Anticipate her cravings. No, you don’t need to be a mind reader. But if you notice that she can’t get enough bananas and peanut butter after she goes to the gym, have some on hand during her next workout kick. 2. Rub her feet. Also rub her back. Rub her legs; rub her everywhere. Even just lightly brushing your fingertips over her body will help strengthen your bond with each other, and your bond with baby. 3. Shop. Okay, so maybe she wants to be in on the baby shopping with you, but ask for her grocery list on your way to work one morning. Come home with the goods. 4. Dig a belly hole at the beach. When her back can’t take the weight of baby any longer, take her to the beach and dig a hole for her belly in the sand. Smooth SPF on her back and let her enjoy lying on her stomach again. 5. Rent her favorite flicks. When she seems particularly stressed out or tired, surprise her with a collection of her all-time favorite movies. 6. Hit the Town. Make reservations at the restaurant where you had your first date (or where you proposed, or where she first told you baby is on the way). Treat it like a date, right down to kissing her on your front step. 7. Clean the House. This one might be less fun for you than the last, but chances are you’ll still get a kiss at the end of it. Do it when she’s not home for the surprise factor. 8. Lend an Ear. Sit and talk with her. Let her take the conversation in any direction she wants. Listen.
